My Ultimate Physical Transformation
All my life has been a fitness struggle. I started getting fat first when I was 8 years old and have been fat—sometimes more than others— pretty much all my life. Even so, I have gone through some weight loss journeys that were successful to some extent. But, somehow I keep getting fat again.
First Weight Loss Journey
My first weight loss journey started when I was 13. I had become extremely fat and was beginning to get stretch marks all over my body. I don’t remember particularly what it was that prompted me start losing weight but probably it was the shame that came with it and getting made fun of. Notice that I’m not playing victim here. On the contrary, it was necessary for me to get healthier and I’m thankful for it.
I saw an Instagram Ad of an organization in Iran that would give you a nutrition plan for weight loss. It was as easy as filling an online form, uploading pictures, and making the payment. I got the plan a week later and started complying with it. It turned out to be very effective and I lost a lot of weight. I went from extremely fat to not fat at all. I didn’t have a six pack but you wouldn’t call me “fat”.
The Covid Unravelling
The Covid-19 pandemic hit shortly after. I was in my house all day every day and started eating irresponsibly unhealthily. I would eat a lot of sweet snacks. I would order a lot of fast food. All the sins of eating healthily. I continued that behavior into 2021 and 2022 as well, hitting my peak weight at 108 kg by the time I graduated high school in the summer of 2022. In those 2 years, I was extremely dedicated to school and some other things so my physical health and fitness weren’t a top priority.
Gap Year Transformation
After graduating high school, I had to take a gap year—you can check out that story here. In the gap year, health and fitness became my #1 priority. I built the habit of going to the gym 5-7 times a week and doing intermittent fasting every day. I also walked to the gym and back which gave me 2 hours of walking + 1 hour of strength training. In that year, I went from 108 kg to 94 kg.
Gaining it Back - Part 2
In the last few months of 2023, I loosened my diet a lot and went wild in the last few weeks of it. I started eating fast food and ice cream again and it only got worse during the holidays. All counted, I found myself back at 105 kg when I worked up the courage to step on the scale again after the holidays.
The Ultimate Physical Transformation - 2024
In 2024, I will go through my ultimate physical transformation. I will have a six-pack and be jacked by the end of the year. I know that it is a bold and ambitious statement and will make me look embarrassed if I don’t achieve it. That’s precisely why I’m publishing it. For accountability and fear of public shame. Even if no-one ever reads this, I’ve put it out there so I have to achieve it.
I’ve started strongly already. I’ve been fully compliant with the slow carb diet for the past 2 weeks and have already lost 3 kg, weighing 102 kg. I’ve been also going to the gym 5-6 times a week. I’ve also increased the intensity and duration of each of my workouts. I used to only be able to do 50-60 minutes of half-assed working out. Now, I can go for 90 minutes of much more intensity. The secret was to prepare a quick lunch the night before to eat before going to the gym directly from university. Nothing too complex, just some air-fried chicken breast and some broccoli. It’s been working wonders.
I will comply 100% with the slow carb diet. To do that, I will prep the chicken (chopping + marinating) on Sundays for the whole week. So I can just put it in the air-fryer every day. I haven’t experienced any hunger so it’s good in that sense. The slow carb diet also makes you lose a lot of craving for sweets as well, which is a massive advantage.
Conclusion
I will have a six-pack and be jacked by the end of 2024. I will definitely post updates.
